The Redeemer Methodist Children's Program (MCP) is a Christian Mother's Day-Out and Pre-School that is part of the Family and Children's Ministry of Redeemer Church. Redeemer MCP is also a sister program of the Methodist Children's Program at First United Methodist of Pearland.
To bring Christian day school to children and families in the nearby communities of Pearland, Manvel, and Rosharon. Our vision is to connect the families enrolled in MCP to a greater life in Christ.
In our classes, emphasis is placed on developing each child's self-esteem, cognitive abilities, and creative potential. Well-equipped classrooms with learning centers are designed to help young children learn through discovery and play.
Mother's Day Out is for children ages 2-3 years old, two days a week. Daily schedules provide opportunities for growth in social/emotional development, cognitive thinking skills, physical fine and gross motor skills, sensory development, creative individual expression, and imaginative play- all while fostering independence & self-help skills. Frog Street Press Curriculum along with components of the Learning Without Tears Curriculum supplement our school’s thematic teaching units to make learning fun and developmentally appropriate!
Pre-Kindergarten is for children 4 years of age as of September 1st of the current school year. There are both 2 and 4 day class options. These classes are designed as a Kindergarten Readiness Program. Thematic multidisciplinary instruction compliments the Learning Without Tears Curriculum and includes a formal introduction to the alphabet, phonemic awareness, mathematical concepts, and problem solving.
MDO & Pre-K Classes both attend additional weekly lessons with our Enrichment Teachers in Science/Art, Language Development, Chapel and Music.
All classes are based on the child’s age by September 1st of the current year.
Two-day programs are offered either Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday.
Four-day programs are Monday through Thursday. (Redeemer MCP is closed on Friday)
All program hours are 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
The MCP calendar loosely follows the Alvin Independent School District’s school calendar for holidays and breaks.
Every classroom has 2 dedicated teachers and limited enrollment to ensure a low student/teacher ratio. Each teacher is required to participate in training designed specifically for Early Childhood Educators each year. Our teachers strive to maintain the highest quality of standards. We conduct a complete criminal background check, including FBI fingerprinting, on all staff members. CPR and First Aid certification are required for all staff members.
